Oroville, Calif. - Freshman Pablo Garces Sanchez netted his third goal of the season as the Butte men's soccer team tied with Evergreen Valley, 1-1, on Tuesday afternoon.
Garces Sanchez tallied his score in the 20th minute off assists from freshman George Shaw and sophomore Quintin Benn-John.
Evergreen Valley equalized the match in the final moments of the contest on a rebound off of a free kick.
Freshman Noris Iten played all 90 minutes in the goal for the Roadrunners, tallying 11 total saves.
Butte (2-1-2) heads back out on the road to Hartnell on Friday, Sept. 16 for a 2 p.m. contest.
