SACRAMENTO, CA – The Butte College Roadrunner volleyball team faced off against the Sacramento City College Panthers on Wednesday, with the Panthers securing a 3-0 victory. The set scores were 25-18, 25-20, and 25-12.
Despite the loss, the Roadrunners demonstrated several strong individual performances. Sophomore outside hitter Connie Huttman was a key player in the passing game, achieving an impressive 2.23 passer rating with no receiving errors. Offensively, freshman middle blocker Kaydence Babcock stood out with a .200 attack efficiency and a 40% attack kill percentage. On the defensive side, sophomore libero Maddi Rogers led all players with 12 digs.
The Roadrunners will continue their road trip with two upcoming matches in Monterey. They are set to play against Monterey Peninsula College on August 28th at 6:00 p.m., and then against San Jose City College on August 29th at 4:00 p.m.
