Roadrunners Sweep Eagles in Three-Game Set at Weed

The Butte College Roadrunners completed an impressive three-game sweep over the College of the Siskiyous Eagles this past weekend, taking all three contests on the road at the Siskiyous campus in Weed, California. Butte showcased timely hitting, aggressive baserunning, and strong pitching performances throughout the series.

Game 1 – Friday, April 3, 2026

Butte 10, Siskiyous 8

The Roadrunners struck first, manufacturing a run in the opening inning with aggressive baserunning from Cole Davis. After falling behind 3-1 early, Butte responded with a four-run third inning highlighted by Davis' RBI double and multiple Eagle miscues to take a 5-3 lead.

Siskiyous answered with a five-run sixth inning to reclaim the advantage, but Butte refused to fold. Trailing 8-7 in the eighth, the Roadrunners loaded the bases and capitalized on walks and timely hitting, including a two-run single by Kinser Day to tie the game.

In the ninth, Butte pushed across the go-ahead runs behind key hits from Tyler Porter, Jaydon Loose, and Jacob Klapper, along with a bases-loaded walk drawn by Lucas Owens. On the mound, Colton Parenti was dominant in relief, tossing the final 3.2 innings while allowing just one hit to secure the comeback victory.

The Roadrunners continued to pile on runs with contributions throughout the lineup, including a grand slam by Ryan Pearson in the seventh inning to cap the scoring.

On the mound, Brayden Bruno delivered five strong innings, allowing just one earned run, while Cade Taylor closed the game efficiently to secure the sweep-clinching win in the doubleheader opener.

Game 3 – Saturday, April 4, 2026 (Game 2 of Doubleheader)

Butte 9, Siskiyous 2

In the series finale, Butte used a late offensive surge to pull away. After taking an early lead on a Siskiyous error, the Roadrunners found themselves trailing before rallying in the sixth inning when Jacob Klapper and Brady Alves combined to tie the game.

Butte broke things open in the seventh, capitalizing on walks, stolen bases, and clutch hitting to take control. The Roadrunners added insurance in the ninth, highlighted by a bases-clearing hit from Cole Davis.

Tomas Torres anchored the pitching staff with seven strong innings, while Parenti returned to close out the final two frames and secure the sweep.
