Roadrunners go 1-1 on the week with an Alumni Night Victory

Roadrunners Volleyball: Alumni Night Victory!

The Butte College Roadrunners had a split week, battling hard on the road before returning home to earn a decisive victory on Alumni Night, celebrating the history of the program.

Match 1: At Shasta College (October 22nd)

The Roadrunners faced a tough challenge against the Shasta College Knights on the road.

• Final Result: Butte L, 1-3
• Summary: Butte fought hard, taking one set from the Knights, but the Shasta home court advantage proved too much, resulting in a four-set loss for the Roadrunners.

Match 2: Vs. College of the Redwoods (October 24th) - Alumni Night

Butte returned home and leveraged the energy of the special night to deliver a dominant performance against the College of the Redwoods Corsairs.

• Final Result: Butte W, 3-0
• Set Scores: The Roadrunners swept the Corsairs in three commanding sets:
  • Set 1: 25-22
  • Set 2: 25-11
  • Set 3: 25-20

The commanding sweep provided a memorable win for the current team and a great show for the returning program legends.

Alumni Roadrunners Honored

The October 24th match served as the annual Alumni Roadrunners Night, celebrating the legacy of the Butte College Volleyball program. The current team was inspired by the presence of several former players who were recognized during the event.
